About the pictures

Most of the pictures are taken by me or my boyfriend, but on occasion you’ll find some high quality pictures taken by my dear friend Fleur. You can find her on Instagram via @fleurlouise_photography.

About Ella

Hi! I am Ella, 24 years old and I love sports. Not only do I love doing sport, I love talking about them and taking (or, you know, dragging) people along with me.

Ever since I was a kid, I loved to write and I briefly considered becoming a journalist during my bachelors in Linguistics. In the end, I realised that writing is more of a personal hobby than my future career and I switched to business administration. As running (and sports in general) is something I am really passionate about, it only seemed to make sense to start a blog about it!

Whenever I’m not running or catching up with friends while working out, I work as a management trainee for a Dutch company. I am officially no longer a student and I am enjoying the working life a lot. On occasion, you might find some articles about this under the ‘personal’ section on the blog.

Through this blog, I hope to provide you with my experiences and stories on starting out as a runner and training to become a better one. Hopefully my articles can motivate and inspire you to go out and enjoy sports as much as I do (even on rainy Sundays :).
